MSL#30 - Male chauvinist pigs, women in trucking?
“A male chauvinist pig was a term used in the 1960s among females for men, usually with some power (such as an employer or professor), who believed that men were superior and expressed that opinion freely in word and action.
“Chauvinist” means someone who assertively maintains that his or her kind — usually people of the same nationality — are superior; “chauvinism” refers to an extreme and bigoted form of patriotism.
“Pig” was a word of derision used by some student activists in the 1960s and 70s to refer to police officers and, by extension, others with power.”
In this episode of My Semi Life Trucker Steve rips into all the “A-holes” out here on the road! Today as I was travelling up Interstate 5 I over heard a bunch of male drivers verbally raping a poor lady. In this show with the help of some wonderful female drivers I highlight some of the hardships that female drivers have to deal with. I conclude the show with a well rounded perspective for any women looking to get into trucking.

You are such a wonderful guy. Thank you for supporting all of us lady truckers out here. My best reguards Debbie from MI
Yeah, I hate those guys too. I’m a trucker too, and I’ve met some really crafty ladies out on the road. Besides, I find something sexy about a woman who drives a semi… beats me why
Anyway, being a trucker is a way of life, and there’s no reason for a woman to be looked down upon because she likes the freedom of the open road. Your driving skills have nothing to do with your gender.
