A Trucker Brought it – Trucker Steve
A short video blog about part of the sacrifices truck drivers make to insure others are taken care of. Some understand and appreciate it (like the mad Greek in baker ca) some others don’t, Perhaps they will after watching this video.
Production notes: The workflow I’m using for these vlogs is lame, I’m editing the raw h.264 files on a dell studio laptop. I should neoscene the files so I could actually edit in real time as well as slight better color representation , not that it would help this cheap camera much. These videos are quick to cut together so I am not trying to spend to much time on them.

Hey Steve – Wouldnt a truck wrecker somewhere in the US have that part & they could pull it & FedEx it to your guys shop? Even though the truck is new isnt it possible that ones been wrecked already, I think that would be one hell of a lot cheaper & faster then fabbing a new part. Just my 2 pennies worth.

They got 10, 13, Semi-auto (auto w/manual paddle shift mode (# of gears?) and full auto trans. rigs. I’ll be doing North-East runs. The most “mountains” I beleive I will have will be the Adirondaks. Whats your choice of Trans. Out of the ones I listed, which would you chose. I’m thinking of the semi-auto. Man. for hills and auto mode for city. Fair amount of NY City/Brooklyn runs.

[..YouTube..] yet another good vid steve, feeling for you man, we have 110 heat here in queensland, australia summer time, and no aircon really sucks, you can get through 4-5 litres of water in a day easy trying to stay cool. keep up the good work, it’s sure nice to see other truckers getting up early and putting in a big day, makes me feel like i’m not alone!!

Go with the 13 spd or 10 spd , automatics suck , they take the fun out of trucking , they are good for certain situations though , but like I said not being able to go through the gears on your own takes the fun out of trucking , I love the 13spd Ive been driving , whether if Im in the city or in the mountains.
