Video quality would be better if you focused! An easier way though of getting rid of the red/purple pins: Tap in the ‘Search or Address’ bar at the top, this brings up the keyboard. Tap Clear, tap Done. Red/purple Pin Gone, hooray.

Thanks for the post. It was useful in finding an easier solution. It could be that the app has changed with the OS4 update. Now when you select the arrow that opens up the menu for the dropped pin there I an option right there to delete pin. Thanks

Cheers. Thanks so much. Would have never thought of that. Odd that there isn’t an easier way

  21. mhornet18 says:

It’s the Otterbox Defender series case.

  22. mhornet18 says:

I don’t know. That’s odd. Do a hard reset by holding the home and on/off button until you see the Apple logo. I have not had this problem with this so far.

This is really helpful, thank you so much for posting this. Interestingly, until I turned off the phone and then back on, the pin still showed up. Even though the item was removed from the bookmark list. I must have done the delete three times, thinking I was nuts. Again, many thanks!
