Question Jerry s : What would cause my 98 gmc sierra (VIN code R) to run better at night than during the day
This truck has a 5.7 Vortech. It works on the big nite or when its cold and wet outside, but during the day when it is hot outside to work as his only got 4 cyl insyead 8.Everything of the original and well taken care of.It has 190,000 miles and no worse oil leaking anything, they owner. When original radiator was gone, I replaced it with a double row instead single. The cooling system has a lot of liquid, but the temp gauge still varies from 2 marks when im in traffic and hot out.All sensors the original but the pace sensor. Thanks best answer:

Gage temperature fluctuation is normal. Since we now have a larger radiator, the engine cools off enough to close the thermostat occasionally in traffic. You will see the temp goes up a little until it opens again-probably every few minutes. If space temperature sensor is no longer in the side of the block (more constant temp) then you will see more air time izražen.Noć is usually cold and wet vs. dry air days. Since cooler air is denser (more O2 molecules per cubic foot), a power function of the quantity of air and fuel consumed, it is normally much gas engine to make more power at night while ingesting cooler air. Humidity also helps the fresh air intake and dense as it enters the engine. This is the basic premise behind the “water injection” system, which actually inject a fine spray of water at full-throttle unos.Ako does not burn oil or leak after a 190k, consider yourself lucky. Obviously, you take good care of it.
