@KIBOOMU it’s possible (highly unlikely but possible). Could be that you have low traffic in general :S What’s your website if you don’t mind me asking?

  4. jukcoder says:

If optimized for the wrong keywords, a website could be receiving the wrong type of users – that’s what is wrong with my website with a current average 90 percent bounce rate!

  5. KIBOOMU says:

According to Google, our bounce rate is 6-7%. Is that POSSIBLE?

  6. OCEANDIVAGROUP says:

Nick, that is the best comment I have seen in a long time

  17. RafaelMinuesa says:

Sorry to point it out, but a bounce rate of zero is a technical impossibility.

  18. kathyschmidt says:

We have a “personality” website we post to daily, mostly for fun and to keep our humor writing, cartooning, and photo skills in shape. For us, topics that are part of a thematic thread have the lowest bounce rate.

For instance, I crocheted a hat last week in honor of Alexandre Bilodeau’s Olympic gold medal for Canada and blogged on it, titling it “In Honor of Gold, I’m Making A Bobbled Bilodeau.” Three days later, we posted “Bobbled Bilodeau Update,” and guess what? A bounce rate of zero.

    urbex2007 – You’re joking right?

  23. urbex2007 says:

The video doesn’t tell us anything apart from bounce rate equates to the number of people directed and who leave. What they are doing is closing annoying popup windows!!!! They are going to a site DIRECT as links do sometimes steal information. This method is 20 years out of date, look at reasons WHY people will click close and why they ignore pop-ups and adverts. That will answer the question about why no one stays on the sites.

  26. KegelLicht says:

It would be awesome If we could get a GUI Designer which woeuld be a combination of Catalyst (multiple scenes/viewstates), tumult hype, adobe edge, wakanda and the ability to easily create custom skins to be able to create unique UIs

  27. gamhead says:

It’s good to play with the widgets, it acts as a fairly good introduction to uibinder and the widget pallete but that’s about it.. switch to HTMLPanel/div layout in UIBinder as soon as you start to understand what you need..

  28. byGDur says:

    i like it!
    good job sir!

  29. Clojuresque says:

UI Designer sucks really bad, if you want to develop complex and nice looking UIs, use UIBinder instead.

  30. philippas69 says:

looks very nice, will try it soon.

  31. frutiboy1 says:

Actual functionality of this tool is unfortunately a shame for Google. Eric, you lie in the presentation, you fat pig. You just wasted my time.

  32. frutiboy1 says:

Eric, You are a big liar! Nothing in this great tool – GWT Designer – actually works! It’s one of the biggest disappointment I had in a couple of years. This can’t be compared to tools like old Borland Delphi used to be. Designer is just amateurisch piece of commerce shit. It’s a shame there is a Google’t trademark on it. I just spend whole afternoon playing with this great tool and it can not do a simple Grid with a button on it. Moving a button between panels just fucks everything up!

  33. philyjayjohnny says:

such tools were here since decades and I think UI code generation is really ugly.. ever seen Visual Studio Xaml Editor, or much better, Expression Blend? Google you need better tools!

  34. ausi2kiwi says:

The tool works “remarkably well”? I would disagree, the last 3 years I tried the tool and it never failed to disappoint me. It’s slow, crashing randomly, hangs my Eclipse to the point it’s completely unusable.

It was a big surprise for me that Google bought such a crappy product.

Now if Google wants a nice UI tool they should look at Xcode Interface Builder…

Sorry, Eric Clayberg, but this tool is terrible.
