Is that a dynohub on your bike? What has been your experience with it?
Shimano Alfine dyno hub. 10 out of 10 stars, the highest review. To be as bright as a motorcycle is priceless. Sure I could have gotten the German made SON or what ever. But you have to think long term. Let’s say I go on a week long tour. OK A year long tour. What happens if there is a problem with the SON while I’m out, there is only one dealer in the US; Peter White. Sure he will help you and get you going, but you have to mail him your hub. Ouch that is a trip stopper. I wonder how many Shimano dealers there are in this country, in the world. If I have a shimano hub and need service or repair. The odds are in my favor.
Yes the German one offers "slightly" less rolling resistance. SLIGHTLY LESS, for a hundred more dollars, only slightly less resistance. Not worth it if you ask me. I am telling you friend, you have to go dynohub. No more batteries into the land fill. Light on during the day or night.
You will wonder how you ever rode a bike without it. trust me.
