Another of the great benefits of being a truck driver is the fact that you won’t have a boss breathing down your back or watching over you. Your main job will be to get to your destinations on time and legal. What you do in between the drive is up to you. As a truck driver, you decide when you wake up, when to take a break, and when you want to take off. Just as long as you schedule your time right and deliver your loads legally, you’re pretty much able to work on your own time frame. There is no boss riding along with you.

People in other sectors are getting laid off from work due to the recession. Some others are just making a career change. Either way enrollment in trucking schools has increased by thirty percent in part due to the idea that the trucking sector is recession proof, as well as the promise of big money!
